The federal government is using the results of a WA trial to support its expansion of income management across the NT. Indigenous Affairs Minister Jenny Macklin is in Alice Springs today, pushing the trial as evidence that income management is an effective child protection measure. But there are questions about the validity of the trial’s evaluation. Just 147 of the 1,000 people involved were surveyed.
