New Indonesian president, Joko Widodo has taken a tough stance against drug traffickers, announcing he will rule out issuing pardons for any drug convicts on death row. This comes as bad news for two of the Bali 9 inmates, who applied for clemency from Indonesia’s death penalty two years ago. Now that Widodo has announced he will reject all clemency pleas from drug traffickers, hope seems all but lost.
