Shadow treasurer Joe Hockey’ has told a group of policymakers in the UK that Western governments are crippling their own economies with excessively generous welfare payments. He argues for an end to the Age of Entitlement and called for Europe and Australia to look to the Asian economies as an example of where giving people less encourages more initiative and productivity.
