Today the Australian government has descended into yet another period of infighting with Peter Dutton challenging Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull for the top job.
The leadership challenge resulted in Turnbull narrowly retaining his position by 48-35.
Although Turnbull has survived this ordeal, his future as Australian Prime Minister is still in question.
