The electorate of Warringah in Sydney is home to the federal Opposition Leader, Tony Abbott. Ever since its creation in 1922, the seat has always elected a Liberal member as its local MP. Warringah includes some of Sydney’s most affluent, waterfront suburbs like Mosman – where the average house price is 2.1 million – and Manly – where it’s 1.8 million. The Wire spoke to residents in the area and found that support for the Coalition isn’t as strong as might be expected – especially from younger voters.
