Climate change is a looming threat for Indigenous peoples in Australia, with the fossil fuel industry putting stress on sacred country, culture and communities. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth are standing up to fight back. Members of the Indigenous Climate Network, Seed, came together from all around Australia today to make their declaration for climate justice clear – and they won’t back down until Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull stops funding fossil fuel projects and commits to transitioning Australia to 100% renewable power.
