A panel of life long activists and Aboriginal lawyers shared their experiences in battles to secure indigenous rights, during a Saturday afternoon forum. The forum, entitled, “Native Title and cultural heritage protection: A failing system?” invited its 4 speekers to discuss about the current state of Indigenous law in Australia. The speakers were; Neville Williams an Aboriginal activist, Ellie Gilbert a tent embassy campaigner, Tony McAvoy Aboriginal barirster, and Michael Anderson one of the co founders of the tent embassy in Canberra. The Wire’s Hagar Cohen attended this forum and compiled this report.
