Impact on children a focus of Family Violence Commission

The Royal Commission into Family Violence met for the first time yesterday and will continue to meet over the coming month in Victoria. The commission found that young children and even unborn babies can be permanently damaged by violence in the home. Additionally, children whose mothers are in abusive relationships are twice as likely to experience emotional or behavioural difficulties.
