A new study has found only 32% of Antartica is untouched by human activity, and that number is shrinking.

Researchers explored the impact that increased activity is having on Antarctica’s biodiversity, looking at both tourism and research as catalysts for this development.

The amount of wilderness is reducing worldwide as populations expand, cities grow, and urbanisation and agriculture continue to develop.
