In a surprise move, Gunns has sold the a woodchip mill on Tasmania’s east coast to conservationists Jan Cameron and Graeme Wood. The Triabunna Woodchip Mill sold for six million dollars less than was offered by another logging company. There are concerns that the Tasmanian Greens interfered with the deal, threatening a no-confidence vote if the state government agreed to lend Aprin Logging some of the money. Even more concerning is that successful bidder, Graeme Wood, is a substantial donor to the Greens.
