Evidence given at a recent senate estimates hearing has revealed only around $50 million of the $250 million arts support package has been spent.

It’s prompted some in the sector to wonder whether a more coordinated approach would be better to get the ear of government.

Writing in Crikey David Latham suggests a number of approaches, including a national lobby group for the sector.
