A new report released by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare states that almost two in five Australians look for homelessness support services due to family violence.

The number surges when talking about Aboriginal Australians and people with disabilities.

The numbers concern advocates on the issue, and want the Federal government to have a long term plan to tackle homelessness.
