The Australian government has been in political deadlock in the wake of the latest boat tragedy which may have seen up to 70 asylum seekers drown last week. With both sides of politics recognising the need to change immigration policy neither can come to an agreement on the best solution to stop asylum seekers making the perilous journey to Australia.
