The Federal Government today released a discussion paper looking for fresh ideas to increase Indigenous home ownership. Only days after the government conceded that it under-funded hundreds of new homes in remote areas, it’s looking to the United States for inspiration. But can an American community land trusts scheme work for Indigenous Australians? The University of Western Sydney’s Urban Research Centre is planning to investigate the issue.
