The Syrian conflict has left 6 million people homeless within their own country. These displaced and needy people are being administered aid often by the same countries that are engaged in conflict with their government. At the same time the job of the aid worker has become politicised and dangerous, particularly with ISIS a constant threat within Syria. This is the context within which UN protection officers like Paul White must try to make a difference.
