Gaza: ceasefire but no solution

The international community welcomed this morning’s announcement by Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamad Kamel-Amr of an end to the violence in Gaza, but there are concerns about how long the ceasefire will last, and whether a solution to the tensions in the Middle East can be found. One of the key stumbling blocks is Israel’s blockade in Gaza, and negotiations to date have failed to reach agreement on lifting it.
