The government’s former mental health advisor broke his silence today, after having walked out of the key role in frustration. John Mendoza told the Wire that he felt he wasn’t making a difference as the Chair of the government’s National Advisory Council on Mental Health. He says that Labor has promised major reform in the sector, but has delivered only tokenistic increases in funding.
