The latest announcement from Prime Minister Morrison, to reduce home deposits down to 5 % for first home buyers, was quickly matched by the ALP from their big pile of money gained from retirees whose shares and home investments are about to lose any positive benefit from risking their savings. Still, 1% return in a bank account is pretty rubbish too. And today the News Poll puts it at 51% to 49% in favour of the ALP.
