First ever pregnancy discrimination case in federal court today

The Fairwork Ombudsman launched it’s first pregnancy related discrimination case in the Federal Court today, alledging a woman was told her pregnancy “caused an inconvenience” and that she may not be able to return to her clerical position. In response, the Fairwork Ombudsman today launched a national awareness campaign to target the issue.
