Election 2013: Concerns about homelessness policy vaccuum in coalition

Following on from the Rudd government’s ambitious aim to halve homelessness by 2020, four years later, Labor has extended their National Partnership Agreement on homelessness to 1 July 2014. The Coalition questions the government’s commitment to addressing homelessness. However, homelessness providers have said that the Coalition does not have any strong policy proposals of its own. Meanwhile, The Greens have expressed a commitment to additional funding and support to service providers.
