Today on The Wire we begin our coverage of the policy platforms of the different parties in the lead-up to this year’s federal election. First up: industrial relations and the 457 visa. These visas have caused some contention of late, with the difference between policy and posturing becoming blurred. 457 visas allow foreign workers to come and work in Australia if a firm is unable to find any Australians who can fill that job.
