Coinciding with the start of Dementia Awareness Month, Alzheimer’s Australia released a survey highlighting the significant impact the disease can have.
The survey of 1500 Australians found people with dementia and their carers are significantly lonelier than the general public.
CEO of Alzheimer’s Australia Maree McCabe said stigma surrounding the disease contributes to this issue.
