Child sexual abuse in the Catholic Church is in the spotlight again, with a new report putting the spotlight on the key risk factors associated with the issue.

The Child Sexual Abuse in the Catholic Church report released today is the most comprehensive study of child sexual abuse by the church and is the culmination of five years of research.

Confessions by children as young as seven, the psychosexual immaturity of clergy and systematic negligence on the clergy’s behalf are among the factors identified.
