The Medical Transfer Bill passed the Senate today in a historic loss for the government. Doctors for Refugees say that on Manus alone at least 25 patients urgently await treatment for various severe health problems that need Australian expertise. Meanwhile on Manus refugee and author Behrouz Boochani says the news has lifted spirits among the 600 men there.
