Disadvantaged students priced out of diplomas

The government is allowing students studying diplomas and advanced diplomas the opportunity to have a Commonwealth supported place from 2016. Christopher Pyne published an opinion piece today stating the new education reforms will help expand opportunity and access, in order to “make it easier to learn than ever.”
However those familiar with the TAFE sector are sceptical of the lack of detail and the effect these loans will have on disadvantaged students.
