New research shows that there is a large impact on young students’ grades when a child begins school with an emotional or learning difficulty. These issues can affect all aspects of students’ lives if not identified and dealt with appropriately.

The difficulties a student can face varies, as does what would be required to assist them, but research points towards any issue that affects learning negatively impacting both a student’s school life as well as their mental health.
