Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in New South Wales are calling for specialised Koori Courts to reduce the over-incarceration of Indigenous Australians.
Two separate rallies were held over the weekend in Sydney calling on the government to take action.
Koori Courts would likely follow the same model as the successful Youth Koori Courts. This method engages the local community as well as law enforcement in sentencing.
