Decision on controversial “first treaty” with Noongar nation delayed

The Noongar people in Western Australia are awaiting the final say on a historic $1.3 billion native title settlement. It’s been called a “historic achievement in reconciliation” and could be used in across the country, but the agreement will extinguish native title rights to the the southwest corner of the state.
