Funding for Australia’s only body researching how we respond to weather changes as a result of climate change will end after next year.
The National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility (NCCARF), already on operating on an anemic budget, is now considering its future beyond next financial year.
Researchers in the field say the cut undermines Australia’s ability to deal with the consequences of locked-in climate change.
