A UNICEF report this week shows that nine out of ten children braving the Mediterranean crossing to seek refuge in Europe are travelling without their families. Many have lost their parents in war. UNICEF’s Amy Lamoin says the influx of unaccompanied minors is creating a world crisis that is not being acknowledged or dealt with.
