Equal opportunities for women in the defence force could be closer with new recommendations from the Australian Human Rights Commission. Led by Sex Discrimination Commissioner, Elizabeth Broderick, the report has now completed the second half of its review into the treatment of women in the Australian Defence Force.

The review summed up a total of 21 recommendations regarding women’s experience in the military and the changes required to ensure equality.With hopes of achieving an equal and sustainable workforce for both women and men, Broderick says she is confident about a changing culture in defence.
