Budget 2017: Legal services call for funding security

Ahead of the 2017 Federal Budget, organisations from around the country met in Canberra yesterday for a People’s Budget summit.
Members of union, civil society and community groups worked together towards a vision of shared values for the future.
Among those present were the community legal services who had a big win last month when the government reversed proposed cuts to the sector.
Despite the backflip, the National Association of Community Legal Centres says more still needs to be done.
