If a budget is about government priorities then Budget 2015 was very revealing on the issue of climate change and the environment. Though we didn’t see the huge number of climate related program being slashed this year, the federal government is still spending more on diesel fuel tax breaks for mining companies than they spend on public education in the whole country. And the new infrastructure plan for Northern Australia could end up funding the biggest coal mine on the planet.
