As the world gets more crowded and polluted, the wide open spaces and relatively clean air of Australia and especially Tasmania must look more attractive to other nations. Heather Rose’s new book Bruny combines a rollicking political satire with a thriller. Set slightly in the future, Bruny’s plot  imagines a worryingly possible scenario, with foreign powers and the new world order threatening Australia’s sovereignty.
