Australia’s North can expect to get wetter and the south can expect to get drier, according to a new report by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology.

This year’s State of The Climate Report shows the average surface air temperature in Australia went up by 1 degree since 1910.

While the number of days of extreme heat over 35 degrees across most of the country have also gone up: in 2013 there were 28, whereas before 1950 most years had none at all.
