Black-cladding and the threat to Indigenous business

The chairman of the Prime Minister’s Indigenous Advisory Council has called on Malcolm Turnbull to address the growing threat of “black-cladding” in the Indigenous business sector. Warren Mundine says for businesses to be classified as Indigenous, a minimum of 25 per cent of the workforce should be of Indigenous decent. He says the Indigenous Procurement Policy would be undermined if businesses were to pass themselves off as Indigenous, without the workforce to support the claim.
