Adelaide lawyer Melati Lum has created the character of adventurous fun-loving young Muslim woman Ayesha Dean in her first book The Istanbul Intrigue. Melati says she was inspired to create the book after realising there was a lack of Australian Muslim characters in the books teenagers read.
