Australians say they want more renewables, less fossil fuels, and are concerned about climate change resulting in more bushfires, according to a new benchmark report released today by the Australia Institute’s Climate & Energy Program.

The 2020 Climate of the Nation report found Australians overestimate gas industry employment, meanwhile misconceptions about the environmental harms of natural gas are rife across the country.
