Federal Treasurer Joe Hockey says we have to be a nation of “lifters not leaners” and we should all chip-in for the services the government provides. Which is part of the explanation behind the government’s proposed $7 co-payment for GP visits. Right now a Senate inquiry is investigating how well people are able to make that payment given all of the other health costs they incur.
