It is only the second Universal Periodic Review Australia has faced, but delegates from around the world are concerned about our progress in human rights issues. Treatment of asylum seekers and offshore detention, issues facing Australians with disabilities, domestic violence and increasing racism and Islamophobia were all discussed at length. Human rights issues facing Indigenous Australians were also a serious concern.
