Feeling panic over small things, constant checking and over-checking  whether the door is locked;  these are not ‘normal’ ways to feel yet many people endure a lifetime of anxiety without realising it is a mental disorder and there are ways to treat it.

As part of Mental Health Week The Wire looks at how to recognise abnormal levels of anxiety and deal with them openly.
