The government is keenly exhorting Australians to download the new Covid 19 tracing app – and many have obliged, but it’s also causing a chorus of complaints about its shortcomings. It doesn’t work properly on i-phones, has trouble exchanging information when phones are of different generations, and chews through Bluetooth and battery life. And as yet states aren’t able to download the information and actually start using the data. One of the most concerning issues though is the potential for the app to be exploited by stalkers.
