Australia’s aged care system currently fails to meet the needs of its older, vulnerable, citizens, but Artificial Intelligence technology can help to address these problems by easing the burden on aged care staff, freeing them to spend more time on the caring side of their job, and even allowing older people stay in their own homes and avoid aged care altogether.

Perth-based AI company InteliCare has developed an artificial intelligence-based platform that unobtrusively monitors residents of aged care facilities or those living at home, through a series of smart sensors which monitor and learn a person’s daily habits which alert providers and family members of any significant changes.
