A new report from the CSIRO says Australian farmers could earn an extra $3 billion dollars a year from renewable energy. The study, commissioned by the Agricultural Alliance on Climate Change, aims to get farmers active in carbon sequestration, the creation of carbon sinks and renewable energy to generate additional income and lower green house gas emissions. Wind farms installed on agricultural land could also generate large profits to drought stricken farmers.
