There have been reports that some of Afghanistan’s warlords are putting down their guns to post propaganda through Twitter and Facebook instead. Many journalists are reporting that Afghan citizens are increasingly finding their voice on social media. Afghans are using different names and pictures to hide their identities and challenge authorities and rogue insurgents. Social media protests are apparently lessening the chance of political debate escalating into violence.
