The Turnbull Government’s announcement that they will abolish the Road Safety Remuneration Tribunal if re-elected has been slammed by the Transport Workers Union .
The union says more lives will be lost on the roads if the tribunal is disbanded, because the role of the tribunal is to conduct research into pay and conditions that could be affecting safety in the road transport industry.
The industry has the highest fatality rates of any industry in Australia.
