The ABC have made a deal with the Chinese government to broadcast content from the Australia Network to the entire Chinese population. The landmark agreement allows the ABC greater access than the BBC or CNN. The agreement will become official in early May, just days before the budget announcement. It will put pressure on the Abbott Government to rethink funding cuts to the network.
