Charles Massey, farmer and author of The Call of the Reed warbler

When British settlers arrived in Australia they farmed the land as if it was Europe, unaware that they were destroying a much more ancient and fragile eco-system. Farmer Charles Massey says it’s time to try to reverse the damage done. His book is an expose of the global profit-obsessed business of industrial agriculture which he argues  is endangering the planet. He believes innovative farmers are already leading a quiet revolution that offers the only way forward  for Australia’s food supply, landscape and health.
